21/55 'Eyes Don't Lie' (1998)
I had the chance to try and write a song for a movie called 'Five Aces'. It was about a young man preparing to get married and going back to his hometown for a bachelor party with his buddies. None of his friends were happy in their relationships and all of them tried to get him to cheat. He had the 'deer in the headlight' look the whole film and didn't end up cheating on his new bride. I just kept thinking how she would know. One look in the eyes and she would know. Eyes don't lie. After watching this movie over and over, I wrote this song in a couple of days and finished it on a golf course while caddying for one of my buddies.
