27/55 'I'm Movin' On' (1999)
Day 27! Well, we're at the half way point of 55 Years, 55 Songs in 55 Days!! Thanks for hanging in there with me. But stay with me, there is more to go. This song is a very special one for me. I went to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in the Summer of 1999 and bought one raffle ticket to win a Martin guitar. Well, that Sunday, they pulled my name out and I won an amazing HD28 LSV Martin guitar. A $4,000 affirmation for a $2 ticket. Wow, my life has never been the same. That guitar and me became fast friends. I named him 'Harold'. This song is the first song that Harold and I wrote together. It is a song about being who you are, always and moving on. Harold and I had a good run, but unfortunately he was stolen at a festival in western Colorado in 2007. If y'all see him out there, please let me know! Serial #676045. I'd love to see him again.
